We are the intricately explosive dance of light and dark...
Positive and negative, white and black, good and bad, hero and villain (one vs other.)
It is our perceptions, our biases, our experiences and our beliefs that attribute meaning, value and judgement on which is which, what is what and how we feel about one or the other.
What makes the differences?
What makes the similarities?
Which do we tend to focus on more?
It's not necessary to punish yourself for the flip side of the coin that is your other and/or extra "you."
You're able to switch between worlds, your consciousness can access both realms, you can even be acting in both at the same time, a tightrope we balance to entertain ourselves.
The intertwined balance of yin and yang is the symbol of peace.✌️
Remember this, the white and the black hug each other, embracing one another wholly.
One is not kicking the other away! They share the experience. They give space for each other. They come together as one while at the same time respecting the boundaries of their individual.
We need not reject the side of us that breeds in the shadows just as we need not shun our lighter version of ourselves!
There's a time and a place for her/him equally, fairly, justly without consequence.
When we stop shaming ourselves for being complex, for having faults, flaws and traumas, then we can reach compassion and utilize each power for its own purpose!
I spend a lot of the time in the "light" strengthening after I swam in darkness for so long, but although walking on water is part of the journey, drowning in the depths of the deepest parts is just as important.
