Hello Everybody,
I am Florian from Vienna, Austria. I've come across Steemit some weeks ago and find the idea great. It seems to take up the ideas of leftist cultural theorists of the 20th century like Berthold Brecht and Hans Magnus Enzensberger and many more. Ideas of a free medium of exchange which have been inherited by enthusiasts of the Internet 2.0 some ten years ago when O`Riley praised the "wisdom of the crowd" and thought of the internet 2.0 as a "collective intelligence, turning the web into a kind of global brain". Well, most social media platforms have developed in other directions as we see now.
Professionally, i spend my time writing as a literary and music critic on novels, philosophical books and mostly jazz and soul records on austrian Radio Station Ö1 (http://oe1.orf.at/artikel/641140) and the magazine Falter (https://shop.falter.at/liste.php?suchid=besprochene-buecher&sucher=Florian+Baranyi) among others. I collect a lot of vonyl records and DJ for fun -check me out on mixcloud (https://www.mixcloud.com/le_abbé_c/abcs-voyage-explorations-in-jazz-hip-hop-and-brazilian-sounds/).
Expect me to contribute writing and links about weired yet amazing novels and obscure music of the 60s and 70s as well as about movies and art.
I am proud and courious to join this project!
