Sunday Funday: 30th August, 2026

inReflections

This will be a weekly Sunday hangout between friends, where everyone else is also invited to join in on the conversations. A Sunday party for Hive users to interact and just talk crap about whatever happens to be going on at the time. It might be Hive related, it might be current events, sports, or it might be something else entirely. But whatever it is, it will be in the interest of having fun and evoking laughter, piss-taking, teasing and hopefully, a lot of enjoyment for those involved.

Core collaborators:

These people will comment (if available) and lead some of the discussions.

This month is not over but I already reached my monthly HP goal(at the end of this month I wanted to have 42k HP.) If prices will stay the same I hope to reach 50k by the end of the year. It really gets a bit easier once you already have a bit of a stake. Now it no longer feels like pushing a stone on top of the mountain.

Wow, congrats on already reaching your monthly HP goal! 🎉 That’s such an achievement, and aiming for 50k by the end of the year sounds very doable. You’re right — once the stake grows, it really does feel less like pushing a stone uphill and more like building steady momentum. Keep it up, you’re on a great path!

That's a nice goal for yourself, I'm trying to learn more about hive before setting a goal for myself. Still newbie.

Thank you. Good luck to you as well.

Now it no longer feels like pushing a stone on top of the mountain

It becomes more a self-fulfilling process. If only the value hadn't fallen off a cliff.

Congratulations on reaching your goal already. I’m also trying to grow my HP little by little and my goal is to reach 5,000 HP before the end of the year. I hope I can get there too.

5k is good amount considering that you joined in 2025. good luck.

Yes, I joined Hive in October 2025. It’s been a really interesting journey so far, and I’m grateful for how much I’ve learned and grown since I joined. Hopefully there’s still a lot more to achieve!

I know that not everyone here is a gamer but I think that during times like this(times dominated by greed and stupidity) even non gamers may find this info interesting and almost worth celebrating. Polish games dveloper who created the Witcher games few days ago anounced that they are remastering Witcher 3(a game that was released in 2015). And that this remaster will be free for everyone who already bought the game. And that everyone who has only a base game will get first two expansions for free. This is unheard of because most other gaming companies for such remaster would ask a full price again. Like I said I thought that such policy could be interesting for both gamers and non gamers. Perhaps if more companies were less greedy we would live in a better place.

            • jacobtothe profile picture

I heard about that. I have played a bit of The Witcher 1 & 2, but I never got 3. I might just buy it.

              • fieryfootprints profile picture

For me Witcher 3 is the best game ever(or so far) created. But I love all witcher games.

I haven't gamed in years, but I think a lot of the early games were more fun to play. I don't care about graphics, just game play.

                • fieryfootprints profile picture

For me the story and characters are also more important than graphics.

About a week ago we had a really strong wind here in Lithuania.I believe that even now thousands of people are still without electricity. It is intresting how dependant on their creations humanity can be.

                • nursejoe profile picture

That's not good, and I guess there won't be sun for people with solar to use.

                  • tarazkp profile picture

This will get more common I guess. The weather is becoming more volatile everywhere.

That must have been really tough with so many people still without electricity. It’s true, we’ve become so dependent on these creations that life feels so different when they’re suddenly gone. Hoping things in Lithuania get back to normal soon and that everyone finds comfort while waiting for power to return.

Yes. We are so used to things that bring us comfort that life without them feels completely different. It is interesting to think that not so long ago humans were using candles and had no internet.

Yes, I’ve experienced betrayal from a friend before. 💔 It was painful at the time, but it taught me a lot about trust and choosing the right people to keep close. In the end, I realized that even difficult experiences can help us grow stronger and wiser in friendships.

Clean the mold in the kitchen. It would be perfect for it since it (I hope) can't smell how the chemistry stinks. But I will have to be that robot myself.

no idea. I already tried cleaning it in the past with the same product I used to clean in the bathroom. It worked in the bathroom well but in the kitchen not so good.

You must know it but I am sharing it anyway.

There is a place in Pakistan called Shangrila and water there feels like from heaven even now, this could be the source of inspiration for Hamilton.

I wonder if there will conspiracy robots?

Most probably, and after the AI percentage of happening so has increased, IMO.
