Words out of Silence
Never silent always chattering, whispers in the ear I hear them so clearly, spill from somewhere inside Many voices of the past, and the words I fear to speak The person who I was, the person I attempt to hide.
Nothing more than sounds, until meaning is derived Image forms to become belief, and behaviour becomes me The person made along the way, down a path I didn't choose To be the man I am today, the one I don't want to be.
To create something more, another experience of this world Change the thoughts and then the words, actions may follow To do what hasn't been done, to be what hasn't yet been seen Yet here we lay staring into eyes, that remain always hollow.
Shadow grow across the sky, spread along the land The visionary subsides, to return to nothing more A moment of clarity stolen, engulfed by the clouds The change halted, all that remains was there before.
