thought I would share a drawing / painting that I created a little while back.
I was going for a folk horror kind of feel. Inspired by the darker elements of fairytales and folk stories.
At the time I was influenced and watching a lot of 70's / 80's horror films.
It is canvas stretched over hardboard. Then I have primed the canvas in white. I used humble, cheap black biro pens to draw. You need to have the hardboard, instead of the traditional stretched canvas; then you can press on hard with the pen without fear of ripping the canvas.
