Hello to all HIVE readers! I hope you are having a great time. Here I share with you what I've been working on these days, I hope you like it.

Un día, desperté temprano para hacer unas cosas en casa que debía hacer, resulta que esa mañana estaba lloviendo, de donde vengo cuando llueve, llueve demasiado y son anhelados los días de lluvia, ya que, vivo en una zona calurosa de Venezuela. Antes cuando era muy niña no me gustaban los días lluviosos, creía que eran tristes, pero, cursando la mitad de la escuela primaria, esos días de lluvia cambiaron.

One day, I woke up early to do some things at home that I had to do, it happened to be raining that morning, where I come from when it rains, it rains too much and I long for rainy days, since I live in a hot area of Venezuela. Before, when I was a little girl I didn't like rainy days, I thought they were sad, but, when I was in the middle of elementary school, those rainy days changed.

Recuerdo salir de clases con una de mis mejores amigas en ese tiempo de invierno e ir para mi casa para hacer las ¨ tareas¨ de la escuela, pero, realmente a lo que íbamos era a pasar el rato en mi casa. Mi amiga tenía un teléfono básico, yo llamaba a la mamá sacándole permiso para que pudiera ir. Éramos unas niñas, nos poníamos era a jugar con la lluvia y mojar gran parte de la casa; recuerdo los regaños que mi papá nos daba a ella y a mí por el desastre que hacíamos, nos divertíamos mucho así que, aguantábamos los regaños luego nos poníamos a limpiar.

I remember getting out of class with one of my best friends in that winter time and going home to do my "homework" for school, but, really what we were going to do was to hang out at my house. My friend had a basic phone, I would call her mom to get permission for her to go. We were little girls, we used to play in the rain and get most of the house wet; I remember the scolding my dad would give her and me for the mess we made, we had a lot of fun so we would put up with the scolding and then we would start cleaning up.

Recuerdo esas sensaciones, el olor a lluvia, la misma lluvia caer, el agua en mi piel, las risas, el dolor de estómago por tanto reír, el frío que hacía, el viento, el cielo nublado, los regaños y como no podía faltar, el olor a café con leche o chocolate caliente que nos preparaba mi papá para calentarnos un poco.

I remember those sensations, the smell of rain, the rain itself falling, the water on my skin, the laughter, the stomach ache from laughing so much, the cold, the wind, the cloudy sky, the scolding and of course, the smell of coffee with milk or hot chocolate that my dad used to prepare for us to warm us up a little.

Esas sensaciones me hacen recordar que, para un día lluvioso solo necesitas de una buena compañía, bailar bajo la lluvia y una buena taza de café con leche o chocolate caliente para que tu tarde sea unas de tus mejores tardes. Me alegra que mi perspectiva cambiara, ahora ¡amo los días de lluvia! Para esos días nublados tu vida en los cuales te hacen ver solo soledad, tristeza y desesperanza, recuerda que gran parte de esos días depende de la perspectiva que tengas, comienza a disfrutar del proceso porque puede dejarte buenos recuerdos siempre y cuando así te lo propongas.

Those feelings make me remember that, for a rainy day you only need a good company, dancing in the rain and a good cup of coffee with milk or hot chocolate to make your afternoon one of your best afternoons. I'm glad my perspective changed, now I love rainy days! For those cloudy days in your life that make you see only loneliness, sadness and hopelessness, remember that much of those days depends on the perspective you have, start enjoying the process because it can leave you with good memories as long as you put your mind to it.
