In this article, we’ll dive into the newest features of the exchange, both visual and structural. Let’s go!

Refactoring the front end using the newest React.js features

As we know, the developers at React are continuously adding updates to their library and it’s very important for us to stay in touch, in order to ideally make our services faster for the users and cleaner and neater in terms of code structure. These changes, however, aren’t reflected visually on the website. The most important one is implementing React Hooks. You can read more about them in this introduction, or check out the full documentation. According to the developers, using Hooks means you get a 90% “cleaner” react.js code. This is done by: 1. Simplifying the transfer of stateful logic between components. 2. Making it simpler to write and understand complex components by splitting the logic into smaller functions. 3. Functional components can now have stated.

Updated look for the “My Wallet” page

We’ve given the My Wallet page a fresh redesign with an intuitive and fun new UI component — a doughnut chart. It takes information from the users’ balance and displays it as different portions, with the size of each one being measured by the sum of the tokens’ value in ETH. The user can also click on any token in the list on the top left side of the chart and deselect tokens which he doesn’t want to be displayed on it, thus updating the chart in real-time with the rest of the tokens. Of course, the user can then select the removed token and it will show up again. Updated look for the Connect Wallet page

The login or Connect Wallet page has also gone through a remake — each method for connection (with the exception of Brain Wallet) now has a crisp logo icon. New Moon mode colors!

The dark mode in our exchange is now equipped with a refurbished, more easy on the eyes color palette. Our main colors — green, blue and red have been toned down and aren’t that bright anymore, in order to fit perfectly to the new, darker background color. These two changes alone have created a far better contrast effect than before and we hope you’re going to like it a lot as well. Footer utilities — fast access and price tracker

Instead of checking the price of a token via another browser tab or constantly switching between tokens in the token selector, you will now see from 3 to 13 blocks, or more (depending on your screen size), directly in the footer on every page. Inside each block there’s information about a token, first —the price, both measured in ETH and in USD, and second — the % change in the token price for the last 24h. Along with all that, when you click on a token block that token will be chosen in the token selector. Withdraw funds from the old contract

With our new smart contract on the Ethereum network now live, traders that have their funds in the exchange from when the previous contract was active (up until the 1st of July) can now safely withdraw them to their personal wallet. Then, of course, they can deposit them again and will be able to use them on the exchange with the new contract in place. Here’s a quick link directly to the Withdraw Old page. Integrating Kyber Network

So what is Kyber? Kyber is an on-chain liquidity protocol that aggregates liquidity from a wide range of reserves, powering instant and security token exchange in decentralized applications. However that’s enough information for now about that, pretty soon we’ll be publishing a full article with information about this feature.
