Sicuramente **Bowie** é stato un personaggio istrionico e che non passava inosservato grazie al suo modo di apparire , alla maniera con cui si truccava anche il suo vestirsi spesso con costumi femminili lo rendeva particolare , è stato un precursore dell'ondata *punk* e della *New wave* e lascia in eredità delle pietre miliari nel mondo della musica *Rock*. Lo considero assieme a *Brian Eno , Robert Fripp* a *Peter Gabriel* uno di quelli che ha cambiato in quel periodo il rock , un genere musicale condizionato da queste menti colte che portarono aria nuova nel panorama artistico di fine anni 70 inizio anni 80. Con la sua morte il *rock* ha perso una delle voci più belle , é stato anche un discreto attore , personaggio capace di seguire i cambiamenti e le mode passando dal punk al pop fino al suono elettronico questo anche grazie alle influenze del suo amico *Brian Eno*. All’età di 15 anni a causa di un pugno violento sferrato da un suo amico la pupilla sinistra resta definitivamente lesa , questo renderà lo sguardo di *Bowie* molto particolare per via della diversa colorazione dei due occhi , uno azzurro e l’altro di un marrone-verde , quindi è da sfatare la storie del suo occhio finto. La sua fama artistica prende corpo nel 1969 quando esce **Space Oddity** nello stesso periodo interpreta un alieno nel film *l'uomo che cadde sulla terra* , malgrado i discreti successi cinematografici *Bowie* sarà ricordato per la sua stupenda carriera musicale , nel 1971 esce il disco *Hunky Dory* che verrà accolto con grande interesse dal pubblico decretando il brano **Life on Mars** come uno dei migliori di quell’anno , l’anno seguente viene pubblicato *The Rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars* , indimenticabile qui il brano *Starman* , da questo momento in poi per i suoi fans *Bowie* diventa anche il signor *Ziggy Stardust* Oltre a produrre i suoi dischi *Bowie* si trova a produrre per personaggi del calibro di *Iggy Pop , Lou Reed* e per il suo amico *Brian Eno*. *Station to Station* del 1976 segna un nuovo cambiamento di personaggio diventando *Il Duca Bianco* , una figura molto snob e priva di sentimenti. Nel 1977 esce *Heroes* il disco che a mio parere lo consacra definitivamente tra i grandi della musica rock , non per niente collaborano alla stesura del disco grandi figure artistiche ed amici di *Bowie* lo stesso *Eno* e *Robert Fripp* . Ad inizio anni 80 il singolo *Ashes to Ashes* diviene un altro grande successo , nel frattempo continua a collaborare con nomi gloriosi e nel 1971 scrive per i *Queen* la famosissima *Under Pressure* altro grande successo , non solo musicale ma anche commerciale. Sembra un periodo d’oro per l’artista che nel 72 incide *Let’s Dance* destinato ad un ampio successo dove l’omonimo singolo e *China Girl* saranno tra i più venditi. Da estimatore del *Duca Bianco* ho avuto la fortuna di assistere ad un suo concerto nel 1987 *The Glass Spider Tour* , senza dubbio la sua migliore tournèe , stadi stracolmi in ogni data ed in ogni luogo del globo. A mio parere questo è stato il periodo più bello dell’artista seguito poi da lavori discreti ma molto al di sotto degli anni 80. Purtroppo alla fine del 2014 gli viene diagnosticato un cancro al fegato , notizia che però non verrà rilasciata e rimarrà nascosta , agli inizi del gennaio 2016 esce il videoclip *Lazarus* che sarà l’anticipazione di *Star* pubblicato il giorno dopo , mentre le prenotazioni del disco e le vendite fanno presumere di nuovo un successo discografico. Purtroppo il 10 gennaio del 2016 arriva il triste annuncio della sua scomparsa , i giorni che seguono non sono altro che momenti in cui tutte le radio trasmettono i suoi brani e per ironia della sorte *Bowie* muore proprio nei giorni dell'uscita del suo nuovo album. Anche al momento della sua morte ha voluto dimostrarci il suo essere fuori dagli schemi comuni , forse è proprio questo suo essere diverso che incantava il pubblico e che tutti gli amanti della musica come il sottoscritto ricorderanno con ammirazione.

With his death *rock* has lost one of the most beautiful voices, he was also a discreet actor, a character capable of following changes and fashions, going from punk to pop to electronic sound, thanks also to the influence of his friend *Brian Eno*. At the age of 15 because of a violent fist attacked by a friend, the left pupil remains permanently damaged, this will make the *Bowie* look very special because of the different coloration of the two eyes, one blue and the other of a brown-green, so it is to dispel the stories of his fake eye. His artistic fame took shape in 1969 when he released **Space Oddit** in the same period he plays an alien in the film *the man who fell on earth*, despite the discreet film hits *Bowie* will be remembered for his wonderful musical career , in 1971 the album *Hunky Dory* is released, which will be received with great interest by the public decreeing the song **Life on Mars** as one of the best of that year, the following year is published *The Rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars*, the song *Starman* is unforgettable here, from this moment on for his fans *Bowie* becomes also Mr. *Ziggy Stardust* In addition to producing his records *Bowie* is producing for the likes of *Iggy Pop, Lou Reed* and his friend *Brian Eno*. *Station to Station* of 1976 marks a new change of character becoming *The White Duke*, a very snobbish and emotionless figure. In 1977 came out *Heroes* the album that in my opinion definitively consecrates him among the great rock music, not for nothing collaborating to the writing of the great artistic figures and friends of *Bowie* the same *Eno* and *Robert Fripp*. At the beginning of the 80s the single *Ashes to Ashes* becomes another great success, in the meantime continues to collaborate with glorious names and in 1971 writes for the *Queen* the very famous *Under Pressure* another great success, not only musical but also commercial. It looks like a golden age for the artist who in 1972 impacts *Let's Dance* destined to a wide success where the single eponymous e *China Girl* will be among the best sellers. As an admirer of *White Duke* I had the good fortune to attend one of his concerts in 1987 *The Glass Spider Tour*, undoubtedly his best tour, stages overflowing in every date and in every place of the globe. In my opinion this was the most beautiful period of the artist followed by discrete works but much below the 80s. Unfortunately, at the end of 2014 he was diagnosed with liver cancer, news that will not be released and will remain hidden, at the beginning of January 2016 comes out the video *Lazarus* which will be the anticipation of *Star* published the day after, while the disk bookings and sales make a record success again. Unfortunately in January 10, 2016 comes the sad announcement of his death, the days that follow are no more than moments when all the radio transmit his songs and ironically *Bowie* dies right in the days of the release of his new album .
