Ascorbic acid also attenuated the MDMA-induced depletion of striatal 5-HT content.” This means that vitamin C suppressed the creation of radicals which are molecules that cause oxidative stress to the CNS, thus lowering neurotoxicity. #### Optimal dosing schedule: * 500mg every 3 hours * First dose ~3 hours before taking MDMA * Last dose ~6 hours after MDMA. * Use caution as doses above 2,000-6,000mg may cause diarrhoea. ## Magnesium (Optional) Magnesium is thought to be a weak NMDA antagonist and is thought to reduce jaw clenching in anecdotal reports.
