We are drawing close to the commencement of the steem(it) in Nigeria 2 event happening in Abuja and as usual, we have been pushing for a greater and better Nigeria through the power of the steem blockchain.

First off, some people might have noticed that in recent times that the spelling of the event has taken the "it" into brackets. It does not affect the event as we are trying to emphasize the connection between the programme, the steem blockchain, the front end site (steemit) and most of all, all that the blockchain wants to grow to become in the next couple of months. This does not change what we aim to achieve.

That aside, today we are here for another push, not just for support to run the event, but to push for a greater and steemy future with the magnanimous assistance of fundition .All that aside, who are we and what do we hope to achieve? We are the voices of the present who want to make a mark on the future making a difference in the future generations, creating a better understanding and acceptance of what cryptocurrency and the blockchain is all about.

There is a saying that "if you want to go fast, go alone, but, if you want to go far, go together." Nigeria is a multicultural diverse nation with people not just of different languages and language etc, but also, a people of diverse talent. A quick Google search will attest to the fact that Nigerians who have excelled, have not just simply done that, they have done it exceedingly well. Gone are the days of the "African prince" tag that was branded upon us, now we have been making the world gradually realize that we have so much more positive things to offer.

Enter the Steem(it) In Nigeria event! When this came into existence, some were skeptical, so many questions were asked, was it going to be a one-time thing? Was it just a fluke or another fraudulent money making ploy? Were we going to deliver? At the end of the day, after the first event, we not only surpassed so many people's expectations, we made history and this opened the door to so many activities.

There is this feeling of accomplishment and/or fulfillment which comes with being able to make a difference. That joy erases the pain of the stress that was passed through to make it happen.

What exactly did we do at SIN1?

- We ushered in the future of steem related promotional activities in Nigeria.

- We helped create a spark around blockchain knowledge in Nigeria through steem.

- We ushered in a wave of talents into the blockchain and we sparked the consciousness within them.

- We were the spark for community formation, community building and inter community bonding.

Back to the SIN2 discussion, we estimated our budget to be around $9,000 for this year's event, right now we have raised about $4,000 for the event and more needs to be done.

What have we done so far?

According to an earlier post, our first step was to reach out to some communities and accept the reach-out by several other communities to us. We need to build stronger, bigger and better communities on the blockchain because we can get there together not alone. So far, we have gotten across to these communities;

The minimum hall for the conference at Transcorp Hilton plus their compulsory complementary coffee costs $3691.30 or #1,336,250

The entertainment for the five days will cost about $1381.22 or #500,000

The publicity materials, decoration and security will cost about $2071.82 or #750,000

The cost of transport for the attendees for sin2 events within Abuja will cost about $690.61 or #250,000

Visual effect materials rentage for some of the days $414.36 or #150,000

Hotel subsidy for Hosts and some of the invited speakers $1381.22 or #500,000
