Parte I: Conocimientos Preliminares e Introduccion

--- Bienvenidos al primer post oficial de la comunidad de **MVP Trading Room**. Hace unas horas comentamos nuestras intenciones y presentamos el proyecto ante la comunidad de LeoFinance, esto se hizo desde mi cuenta personal @elyelma (podras encontrar dicho post [aqui](https://leofinance.io/@elyelma/mvp-trading-room--en-es).) Ahora ya mas oficialmente y desde la cuenta de MVP, quisiera presentar a todos lo que es el trading *en si*. *"Trading"* simplemente significa *comercio* por lo que los *traders* son realmente comerciantes. Normalmente y desde tiempos inmemorables, los comerciantes han sido la base del sustento humano, permitiendo que bienes y productos nativos de alguna region llegaran a otros lugares. Ejemplos de esto son la polvora, el te negro, el opio, cañamo, la famosisima "Ruta de la Seda" que permitio el desarrollo de Europa y la comunicacion con Eurasia y Asia, incluso la imprenta, los libros y ulteriormente el conocimiento. Es asi, que la actividad de *tradear*, o comerciar, ha estado siempre presente en el quehacer humano. En nuestro caso particular, al tradear lo que estamos haciendo es interactuar con los mercados globales a traves de los llamados *instrumentos financieros* que fueron diseñados especificamente para este fin, y que desde la llegada del internet, son ahora accesibles para cualquier persona. Esto represento en su momento un cambio radical en las reglas del juego, y eventualmente llevo al desarrollo de algoritmos especializados en utilizar los grandes capitales de los grandes jugadores del mercado (fondos de cobertura y bancos, principalmente) para ir en contra de la mayoria de las personas. A esto le llamamos en el mercado *manipulacion*, y es una realidad que todos los mercados, incluso crypto, estan siendo constantemente manipulados por los grandes jugadores quienes se quedan con el capital de los pequeños inversionistas, tambien llamados *minoristas*. ![Los Primeros Traders.](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/hive-122189/EqHyrayfQ5eY3dLT9TnLrhfLptKxvj7LRWfUWQY7ZoVMbFjND529knY9Ff7iTnQih84.jpg) --- Para comenzar a tradear necesitaremos solo dos cosas: un dispositivo conectado a Internet, y una cuenta con un proveedor de liquidez, llamado *"Broker"*. El Broker es el ente u organismo que nos permite una conexion directa de nuestra computadora o telefono con la banca mundial. El programa o software para tradear mayormente utilizado a nivel mundial es el famosisimo *MetaTrader* en su version 4 o 5. Para PC, descargalo [aqui](https://download.mql5.com/cdn/web/metaquotes.software.corp/mt5/mt5setup.exe?utm_source=web.installer&utm_campaign=mql5.welcome.open). Parte II: Forex, Un Mercado para todo un Planeta

--- Como anteriormente comentabamos, el comercio surge de la necesidad de acceder a mercancias, bienes y productos originarios de diferentes regiones. Esto era algo muy sencillo de realizar en tanto el trueque o intercambio, era la practica comun, incluso cuando comenzaron a acuñarse las primeras monedas, era algo muy sencillo de hacer ya que cada moneda valia su peso en oro o plata. Sin embargo, ya entonces nacia la necesidad de una valuacion equitativa del oro y la plata, en relacion a su peso. Al finalizar la etapa del dinero respaldado por el oro, nace lo que seria el "dinero decreto", fiduciario, o *fiat*, y con ello se hace aun mas compleja la valuacion equitativa de los bienes y servicios a nivel mundial. Con ello surge el famoso **Mercado Forex.** ![Un mercado para todo un planeta.](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/hive-122189/23wX3hiDKfugh2n4GpCu8DLK3gdEP5ZpBfXUjHvskbbpfezvnGuaXgwTTkfa8XLEo1VxL.jpg) *Forex* son siglas que significan "Foreign Exchange" o "Intercambio de Moneda Extranjera" (traduccion libre) y simplemente hace referencia a la relacion que guardan dos divisas entre si, pudiendo o no, estar vinculadas al dolar. Es el mercado Forex lo que garantiza que hoy dia podamos tener comercio a nivel global, ya que este nos brinda la tasa a la cual se avalua la moneda nacional de un pais cuando comercia especificamente con otro. Dicho en palabras sencillas, es el *puente* que une dos economias. ---

Parte III: Recapitulacion

--- Actualmente, el mercado Forex es el mercado que mueve la mayor cantidad de dinero dia con dia, alcanzando (para diciembre de 2019) un volumen promedio de un poco mas de $6 trillones de dolares... diariamente! Como hemos visto, surge de una necesidad real, ante el fenomeno creciente de la globalizacion y el nacimiento de un comercio global, e impulsado tambien por el desarrollo de tecnologias en las comunicaciones, el transporte y la energia, que han permitido un incremento sustancial de la actividad comercial entre paises a veces distantes. ![Data from BIS Triennial Central Bank Survey of Foreign Exchange and Over-the-counter (OTC) Derivatives Markets.](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/hive-122189/23xAvyTuGjA2oUbW45LrJ4BQVbKnh951BiRQMvvUSdJgq28rXHWr8HW3EXUYZPUKB5JRW.png) Pero no seria hasta el establecimiento del Internet como una tecnologia de naturaleza civil y de alcance global, que el mercado Forex se haria accesible a todos y cada uno de nosotros, directamente desde nuestros hogares, e incluso de forma movil, gracias a la tecnologia de los Smartphones. Esto seria el inicio de un cambio radical en la naturaleza misma del juego, ya que a partir de entonces se han desarrollado e introducido al mercado algoritmos, robots de trading automatizado, el manejo de big data, e inteligencias artificiales con la unica finalidad de ganarle la partida a los traders minoristas en favor de las grandes instituciones financieras. La realidad es que, comparado con el trader minorista (armado solo con una laptop y un movil) los bancos e instituciones tienen una gran ventaja. Esto ocurre tambien de forma natural y responde a las leyes de oferta y demanda que estudiaremos proximamente. Si comprendemos como se maneja el dinero institucional, creeme que tenemos todas las posibilidades de ganar dinero en los mercados. Para estos posts y como punto de partida, vamos a estar utilizando el mercado de Forex como referencia inicial para entender y analizar los graficos. Estos conceptos mas adelante podras aplicarlos al instrumento financiero de tu preferencia, sea crypto, acciones, futuros, bonos de deuda, productos basicos, metales, etc. Los conocimientos que vamos a adquirir en esta aventura juntos, son comunes al 99% de los activos financieros, por lo que resultaran de gran utilidad al introducirte de lleno a la actividad de tradear. Part I: Getting Started and Preliminary Knowledge

--- Welcome to the first official post of the **MVP Trading Room** community. A few hours ago we discussed our intentions and presented the project to the LeoFinance community, this was done from my personal account @elyelma (you can find this post [here](https://leofinance.io/@elyelma/mvp-trading-room--en-en-en).) Now more formally and from the MVP account, I would like to introduce to everyone what trading is *by itself*. *Trading* simply means *commerce*, so *traders* are really merchants. Since time immemorial, merchants have been the basis of human livelihood, allowing goods and products native to some region to reach other places. Examples of this are gunpowder, black tea, opium, hemp, the famous "Silk Road" that allowed the development of Europe and its communication with Eurasia and Asia, even the printing press, books and later knowledge was traded over time. Thus, the commerce activity or *trading*, has always been present throughout human history. In our particular case, when we *trade* what we are actually doing is interacting with the global markets through the so-called *financial instruments* that were specifically designed for this purpose, and that are now accessible to anyone since the arrival of the internet. This was a radical change in the rules of the game, and eventually led to the development of algorithms specialized in using the large capitals of the big players in the market (hedge funds and banks, mainly) to go against the majority of the people. We call this market phenom *manipulation*, and it is a fact that all markets, including crypto, are constantly being manipulated by the big players who take the capital of small investors, also called *minorists*. ![The First Traders](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/hive-122189/EqHyrayfQ5eY3dLT9TnLrhfLptKxvj7LRWfUWQY7ZoVMbFjND529knY9Ff7iTnQih84.jpg) --- To start trading we need just two things: a device connected to the Internet, and a connection with a liquidity provider, through an entity called a "*Broker*". The Broker is an institution that allows us a direct connection between our devices and the world banking system. The most widely used trading software worldwide is the famous *MetaTrader* in version 4 or 5. Instead, they use different programming languages (MQL4 & MQL5 respectively) so they are not compatible with each other. ---

Part II: Forex, One Market for an Entire Planet

--- As previously mentioned, trade arose from the need to access merchandise, goods and products originating from different regions. This was something very simple to do since barter was the common practice, and even when the first coins began to be minted, it was something very simple to do since each coin was worth its weight in gold or silver. However, even then the need for an equitable valuation of gold and silver, in relation to their weight, was born. At the end of the gold-backed money period, what would become "fiat money" was born, and with it became even more complex the equitable valuation of goods and services worldwide. Thus, the famous **Forex Market** emerged. ![One market for a whole planet.](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/hive-122189/23wX3hiDKfugh2n4GpCu8DLK3gdEP5ZpBfXUjHvskbbpfezvnGuaXgwTTkfa8XLEo1VxL.jpg) *Forex* is an acronym that stands for "Foreign Exchange" or "Foreign Currency Exchange" (free interpretation) and simply refers to the relationship that two currencies have with each other, either or not, being linked to the dollar. It is the Forex market that ensures that today we can have global trade, as it gives us a rate at which the national currency of a country is valued when it trades specifically with another. In plain words, it is the *bridge* that connects two economies. As seen, it has emerged from a real need, given the growing globalization phenomenon and the birth of a new global trade, also driven by the development of technologies in the fields of communications, transportation and energy, which have allowed a substantial growth in the commercial activity between countries sometimes distant from each other. ![Data from BIS Triennial Central Bank Survey of Foreign Exchange and Over-the-counter (OTC) Derivatives Markets.](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/hive-122189/23xAvyTuGjA2oUbW45LrJ4BQVbKnh951BiRQMvvUSdJgq28rXHWr8HW3EXUYZPUKB5JRW.png) But it would not be until the establishment of the Internet as a technology of a civilian nature and of global reach, that the Forex market would become accessible to each and every one of us, directly from our homes, and even on mobile devices, thanks to Smartphone technology. This would be the beginning of a major shift in the very nature of the game, as algorithms, automated trading robots, big data management, and artificial intelligence have been developed and introduced to the market with the sole purpose of beating retail traders in favor of large financial institutions. The reality is that, compared to the retail trader (armed only with a laptop and a cell phone), banks and institutions have a huge advantage. If we understand how institutional money is managed, believe me we have all the possibilities to make money in the markets. For these posts and as a starting point, we will be using the Forex market as an initial reference to understand and analyze the charts. These concepts can later be applied to the financial instrument of your choice, be it crypto, stocks, futures, debt bonds, commodities, metals, etc. The knowledge that we will acquire in this adventure together, are common to 99% of financial assets, so it will be very useful to introduce you fully to the activity of trading.
