It appears that even a currently running anime adaptation is not enough to contain the science fiction hilarity of Space Battleship Tiramisu, because now the manga written by Satoshi Miyakawa and illustrated by Kei Itō is being adapted into a live-action stage play that will be staged in Tokyo in July and in Osaka in August of 2018.

The main staff for the Space Battleship Tiramisu stage play features a script by Yusei Naruse, direction by Kazuhito Yoneyama (of theater troupe Hotchkiss), and planning and production by 4cu. The main cast for the Space Battleship Tiramisu stage play includes:

Kentarou Menjou as Subaru Ichinose.

Gaku Takamoto as Isuzu Ichinose.

Yūsuke Ueda as Vulgar Hummer.

Koutarou Itou as Subaru-B.

Kaede Fujimoto as Ligier Leroy.

Ryūko Isogai as Venturi Leroy.

And Kohei Masaki as Ensemble.

The Space Battleship Tiramisu stage play will run from July 25 - 31, 2018, at the Theater Sun Mall venue in Tokyo and from August 11 - 12, 2018, at the ABC Hall venue in Osaka. Tickets to the show retail for 7900 yen ($72.06 US) including tax.

The original Space Battleship Tiramisu manga is serialized in Shinchosa's Kurage Bunch digital seinen manga magazine. The Space Battleship Tiramisu anime is currently broadcasting on Japanese TV and streaming on Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll describes the series as follows:
