1️ Cada país tiene leyes diferentes para las mujeres, algunos son muy avanzados pero otros tienen una estructura difícil para obtener justicia en casos de violencia de género. En cualquier caso, todas las mujeres deberían conocer el sistema de su país. En el caso hipotético o real de que seas víctima o debas ayudar a una víctima de violencia de género, ¿sabes qué hacer? ¿A dónde acudir en esa ciudad concreta para buscar ayuda o presentar una denuncia? ¿Sabes cuál es el procedimiento? La idea es ayudar a cualquier mujer que necesite esos conocimientos. Es un tema delicado pero si tienes alguna experiencia que quieras compartir con otras mujeres eres libre de hacerlo. O 2️⃣ Estamos ya en septiembre y pronto será el último trimestre del año. Tienes algún objetivo concreto que quieras conseguir antes de que acabe el año? Cuéntanoslo y qué estás haciendo o harás para conseguirlo. >

Desde hace unos años hemos visto como ha mejorado la participación de la mujer en la sociedad y se le ha tomado en cuenta para ocupar cargos que anteriormente eran exclusivamente para hombres, ya que siempre se ha visto a la mujer como figura doméstica, sin duda alguna este progreso fortalece los principios de igualdad y justicia social ante los hombres. Sin embargo, seguimos siendo vulnerables a ser víctimas de cualquier tipo de agresión, es por ello que la violencia de género se considera un problema de salud pública y de violación de los derechos humanos.

Por mucho tiempo nuestros derechos fueron violentados y no contábamos con leyes que nos protegieran del poder patriarcal sobre las mujeres, que permitían al hombre en su posición de sexo fuerte, violentar física o psicológicamente del sexo débil, como somos definidas nosotras; En el siglo XX se originaron a nivel mundial una serie de previsiones constitucionales para elaborar leyes con el fin de garantizar el derecho a una vida libre de violencia para las mujeres.

Venezuela no escapa de esta realidad mundial y vemos que muchas mujeres son violentadas por sus esposos principalmente, pero también por sus padres, hermanos, jefes, amigos, etc. Es triste ver que muchos de estos casos no llegan a ser denunciados ante los entes encargados de hacer justicia, es más aun vemos algunas mujeres, culparse porque sus maridos las golpean, a mi parecer no debemos dejar pasar ninguna agresión, ya que se vuelve un círculo vicioso de agredir y perdonar.

It is sad to see that many of these cases are not denounced to the entities responsible for justice, even more we see some women blame themselves because their husbands beat them, in my opinion we should not let any aggression pass, as it becomes a vicious circle of attacking and forgiving.

En mi país encontramos hay muchas fundaciones y entes gubernamentales donde podemos acudir en caso de sufrir algún tipo de violencia de género, tal es el caso del Instituto Nacional de la Mujer (INAMUJER), que es un organismo que trabaja en pro de la igualdad de derecho y de hecho entre venezolanas y venezolanos, por lo cual brinda asesoría y apoyo a las mujeres para que conozcan las leyes que las protegen.

También contamos con la Ley Orgánica sobre el Derecho de las Mujeres a una Vida Libre de Violencia, que es la normativa legal encargada de condenar el delito de maltrato a la mujer, la misma es una herramienta muy importante para apoyar al sexo femenino que sigue siendo objeto de abuso y víctima de violencia. El objetivo primordial de dicha Ley es prevenir, controlar, sancionar y erradicar la violencia contra la mujer y velar por la igualdad de sus derechos ante el hombre y protección a la familia y cada uno de sus miembros.

Podemos acudir también a los entes policiales para formular la denuncia o a la Dirección para la Defensa de la Mujer en la Fiscalia Superior, que por cierto el pasado 13 de septienbre llevo a cabo una actividad denominada el Parcantazo con el fin de concientizar a las mujeres a no dejar que sean violentados sus derechos.
