Hi, fellow Hive Chefs from Foodies! Happy New Year to all of you. The past weekend I stayed home being a househusband, cleaning, cooking a lot, and taking care of my dogs. We bought food last week so that way we wouldn’t have to go out for the whole weekend. I rather make all my meals, and I like to balance the fresh vegetables, the protein, and the carbs. This time, I prepared a combination of bittersweet sauteed eggplant, with steamed soybeans, and a simple grilled not grilled chicken, more sauteed. >Hola, compañeros chefs de Hive Foodies!! The eggplant is not an easy vegetable to cook. Most people, including myself, don't know too many ways of preparing it so that it tastes and feels good. After washing all the vegetables properly, I chopped both tips from the eggplants, and then I cut them into slices. Once the eggplants have been sauteeing in the pot for about 25-30 minutes at low flame, I turn off the stove. Green soybeans are the easiest ingredient to prepare. After chopping both tips of every single bean, I proceeded to place them on top of a metal rack that is for preparing steamed foods. To cook by steam is one of my favorite things, because you use no fat, and vegetables cook without filling up with water. I have many posts in which I choose iced green tea with lemon, but honestly, I think it is the most refreshing thing, and also from what I have read, green tea means only good things to our bodies. What I usually do is very simple, I heat water to 90 degrees and I place two bags of green tea in a single cup, and then I pour the hot water into the cup, and leave it to rest for about five minutes.
