The Experts Say...

Today I survived one of my first true 'attacks' from a bitcoin-doubter who insisted that I sell all of my positions as bitcoin is done and is bound to crash. They continued to tell me about all of these financial experts and billionaires(who failed to see every bubble that they lived through) have finally gotten the crystal eye and know without a doubt that everyone involved in Bitcoin is bound to loss all of their money. ![104538290-Makeit_061917_Bank_Interns_mezz.1910x1000.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmTCFwePJWoqYk4XCbfoQX6Vsq1gNsnN2WG6M4e9kPtqge/104538290-Makeit_061917_Bank_Interns_mezz.1910x1000.jpg) It was obvious from the conversation that they had no true knowledge of the technology that Bitcoin was based on and how that potential rains further supreme than anything currently being done by Bitcoin. This whole experience struck me odd and got me to thinking that I should aim to educate as many people as possible on the true scope of what blockchain technology will do and how it will infect their everyday lives like a virus.

The Takeaway

I understand that Bitcoin may drop a lot from where it is now*[then rebound and continue the moon mission of course ;)]*. I even understand that thinking it can topple the US Dollar is a farfetched dream that doesn't hold much validity in the current economic standing. What they fail to understand is that blockchain technology is bigger than Bitcoin and has so many everyday use cases. Anybody who says cryptocurrency is a fad, a bubble, a criminal's haven, or whatever other name is out there has not taken the time to read and research where all of this is headed. ![blockchainis.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQma2H9sZiAJ862hyTHmKHu5gTmmyBwjJD2ChwMYASR21fs/blockchainis.jpg) There are companies that are going to be making products based around this technology that no matter what any government tries to do to prevent, sully, or slow it down they will never be able to remove this powerful force that is about to smack some very powerful people where they aren't expecting it. Most emerging industries of the modern day have had some extreme hurdles to overcome; most often times propped up by those in power against it and they still survived. Take electricity for example, Rockefeller used his influence to enact campaigns against electricity's use in fear of electrical fire or failure to keep people using kerosene. This is the current state of Bitcoin and blockchain technology. When we look back on these times in a few years we will be laughing and wondering how it took us so long to get here and why we were ever afraid of it. Cheers to those along for the ride.
