Contract Vault is a platform that bridges the gulf between legal contracts and smart contracts making the creation, management and integration of contractual processes on the blockchain simple.

Monetising legally enforceable smart contracts

One of the main aims of CV is to "Use Ricardian Contracts to combine traditional legal contracts with smart contracts, ensuring they are legally enforceable and enabling the transfer of physical property and rights on the blockchain."

A Ricardian contract is readable both by machines and by people. This type of contract couples computer language with regular language, reducing costs by reducing the dependence on a middleman.

These contracts will be available for purchase and customisation using the Contract Vault Marketplace. VLT tokens will be required to create and use these legally binding smart contracts bringing real value to the token.
